TRIVIA:

This is the second episode to feature Michael's former fiancee Stevie; the first was the previous season's WHITE BIRD, which this segment flashes back to. Stevie returns one last time in the fourth season episode THE SCENT OF ROSES, which sees the couple finally marry.

This episode is named after the popular love song, which Michael and Stevie sing to each other at the convention hall -- which is actually the Universal Amphitheater.

At the climax of the episode, Michael considers leaving the Foundation for Stevie -- an offer she declines "for now." This plot point is picked up in the fourth season sequel to this episode, The Scent of Roses.

When Michael attended the Police Academy, a record company was interested in a demo tape he made. April once worked for a travel agency.

Entertainment Tonight visited the set to cover the filming of this episode.

SCRIPT TO SCREEN:

Paul doesn't just hire Michael on musical ability; he is desperate for the drug-running to proceed on schedule, and needs a new frontman for the group for that reason.

Later drafts introduced comic relief in the form of Class Action's Number One Fan, a kid named Roscoe. He follows the group in his van, and is introduced to classical music by K.I.T.T.
