TRIVIA:

K.I.T.T. is painstakingly recreated into a 1955 Lynx Imperial (1955 Moon Moonliner) sports car, of which only two exist. Bonnie's attention to detail is so precise, she even includes a scratch the "real" car obtained whilst setting the landspeed record.

Michael goes undercover as hitman Johnny Hajeck, Bonnie as the aristocratic Contessa Alisha Craven-Hall, Devon as a newsreader and RC as a car salesman.

The location of Carascas' embassy was previously the Helios estate in the first season episode CHARIOT OF GOLD, and would be used again as the home of the villainous Taneka in KNIGHT OF THE RISING SUN.

Walter Gotell was a regular in the James Bond movies as General Gogol. Like Gotell, Kabir Bedi also featured in a Bond movie; he was in Octopussy. Bedi also appears in the sequel series TEAM KNIGHT RIDER episode The Blonde Woman. Branscombe Richmond went on to co-star in the popular action-adventure series Renegade and had a small role in the Bond film License to Kill.

The Turbo Boost scene from this episode appears in the movie Mr. Baseball. Tom Selleck watches it in Japanese.

SCRIPT TO SCREEN:

Carascas is described as a "presence -- head man at the consulate, big, bluff, open shirt and gold chain. Outgoing, gregarious, which means -- as he pulls his dagger out of your back, he hopes you don't take it personally."

The first draft script features an elaborate action sequence at the hospital as Michael rounds up Lupo.

The script reveals that the embassy is Paraguayan.
