TRIVIA:

Garthe and Goliath previously appeared in the second season premiere GOLIATH. Their new accomplice, Adrianne St. Clair, previously crossed paths with Michael and K.I.T.T. in the episode SOUL SURVIVOR -- although for that episode she was credited as 'Adrianne Margeaux'; the name-change isn't explained, and she is even still referred to as 'Margeaux' in the episode. This was the only instance in the entire series of two characters returning from previous episodes to double-team Michael and K.I.T.T.

Garthe's prison number is 479762. He was kept in Cell Block G.

K.I.T.T. tells of how he first went on-line in a government mainframe in Washington, but the bureaucracy never suited him as it was "too stuffy." He's much happier at the Foundation, although he still has to deal with human beings.

Actor Peter Mark Richman also appears in the fourth season story MANY HAPPY RETURNS. Aside from Soul Survivor, Ann Turkel also appears in the episode KNIGHT IN RETREAT.

Ann Turkel and Rebecca Holden went on to guest star together in an episode of Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer entitled Catfight. Turkel also appeared with Edward Mulhare in an episode of Murder, She Wrote entitled Stage Struck.

SCRIPT TO SCREEN:

A plastic surgeon, Dr. Moritz, was originally on hand to explain to Garthe about the Klaus-clone, and later introduce him. His lines were ultimately assigned to Adrianne, although she does still mention him in the episode.

A brief scene in which Michael talks to the police at the Foundation (about Devon and April's kidnapping) fails to make the episode.

Adrianne claims to Garthe that her only interest in Michael Knight is in re-acquiring K.I.T.T. for herself. Her plan is to combine the mind of K.I.T.T. with the body of Goliath for unlimited power.

The episode has Michael rescue Christina from Klaus #2 on their way to the press conference. The early scripts had him save her and "unmask" Klaus during his speech.
